Reasons for an 8 year old to have brite green poo?

depends...is the child on medication? some antibiotics can turn the stool a green color. funny thing is when my son was about 3 he got into powdered drink mix and ate it and it was cherry flavored and his poop was red. at the time is was so scared until i found out what happened then i laughed so hard. just call the doctor.i'm sure it's ok. good luck
