Should consumption of oats be avoided for a person having gout?

Answer:
It is not that a person with gout can't eat them, it is that the person must seriously limit the consumption of them. Oats are moderately high in purine so can aggravate gout or bring on an attack if too much is eaten. For a list of foods to avoid or limit, please go here:

Shot that makes you grow taller?

I remember hearing about a shot that makes you grow taller, approximately 3 inches depending on the person. I am curious if anyone has ever taken it before... does it actually work?
Answer:
Perhaps it is a growth hormone.
Wow, sounds like a gimmic, but if it exsists I want to know!

Shortness of breath?

I have had shortness of breath since i was in middle school and i have now been out of high school for about 7 years now. I have been tested for asthma and was told i do not have it. I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse which makes my heart race. But i have been taking deep breaths every few minutes since this started in middle school. It has become a part of my life and most of the time doesn't bother me. I'm just curious if anyone may have any idea why it does this? Like i said i do have mitral valve prolapse, i am 24, i weigh around 100 lbs, very thin. Any help would be great!
Answer:
Of course your doctor will advise you and you can get literature from the library about this and what types of activities are good for you, your heart does not function properly. Follow your doctors advice.
maybe your body just needs more energy..it could be because your body is weak and you cant do things for a long time because of this...when was that last time you went to the doctor...you may need to take vitamins
did you ask your doctor if it was your heart problems giving you this breathing problem?i know anemia ( low iron can cause shallow rappid breathing..tiredness and dizziness..as can anxiety.hope this helps

I'm assuming that a "little person" is someone who in under 4'5".I'm short at only 5'0".A giant would be someone over 7'0".
I believe the tallest you can be to be consider a dwarf is 4'3'". to be considered short is anything about that till about 6'2'' which is tall. a giant would be 7' and higher

Short Asian =\?

yup so i'm 5 feet 4 inches and one of the shortest people in ninth grade. any tips on how i'm supposed to get taller?
Answer:
I think you will still grow an inch since youre not even 21 yet. I was told that a woman's height will be permanently stable by the time she reached her 20. It is a fact that most asian women, if not all, are meant to be short. Unless one of your parents is tall and theres a possibility that you might be one of them. And I was also told that if you want to get taller, all you have to do is try to sleep in the afternoon... or drink milk,..and perhaps try to jump high at the exact time on New Year's eve. Well, I'm not really sure if that is true, but you have nothing to lose if you try it.

5'4 is fine at your age, and you seems taller to me. I'm 5'2 in my mid 20s :(
asians are suppose 2 be short...ive never seen a tall one...my asian friend is only 5'1.so ur even taller
Sorry, hun. There is nothing that you can do to make yourself taller.

Plus, you aren't even short for an asian. Most asians are shorter than you. So be thankful!
Sorry hun, it's all genetics. Just think, you don't have to duck your head to walk through a door, you rock at the limbo, you always have a good excuse "It's not my fault I'm short..."
no
ask yao ming lol
I always liked Asian women, they're short and cute
Nope you may grow an inch or so if your lucky. We Asians are genetically small. Be happy with 5'4" as an Asian you have 4" on me and I am in my 30's.
DONT be like that.serioudsly its great being short.im asian too (filipino to be exact) and im 5麓4.5 and being tall isnt that great. im in eight grade right now and im taller than most kids (wich is odd since im asian) and im really tall compared to my family. i dont wanna grow any taller either tho, cuz i mean its not fun. im just half an inch from you and i dotn no wut kinda school your going to cuz im considered tall. what evs UR A GREAT HEIGHT! anyways if your really that upset drink alota milk, stretch, do rythmic gymnastics, and take alota omega 3(found in fish).
well, generally girls will stop growing at 18years, and boys, even as late as 24 years. So for girls, before 18 medical studies have shown that sufficient sleep will contribute to your height. (i.e growing taller!) eat a balance diet and try sports that need 'jumping' such as basketball, skip rope, etc.

Results don't happen overnight, or if in all case fails, pick the right clothes for your body. Their the easiest and quickest way to make you seem taller. :)

Shoe sizing problem?

ok so i went to the mall with my mom..and it is about 2 months before school starts for me (9th grade) (im 14 years old) well In a K-Swiss shoe i ware a size 11, but in a Nike shoe I ware a size 9.5 and thats when my big toe is about 1cm from the end of the shoe...why is there such a difference between sizes in different brands..well anyway I bought the nike shoes in a size 9.5...and my toe is about 1 cm away form the end of the shoe..well these shoes are for the school year..so im saving them for 2 months..well when i got home my dad was mad at me cause he said my feet are going to grow by the time school starts and my shoes will be to small to ware and i spent $65.00 for nothing...do you think my feet will grow that much in 2 months...my feet are already big ( 10 1/2 inches) so will they grow that much before school starts...is my dad rite about this?? should i exchange them at the store for a 10 size (.5 bigger) ?

help
Answer:
I suggest holding onto the receipt and not wearing them until the school year starts. Then if they are too small you can always return them, if not then you just saved yourself a lot of trouble.
You certainly will grow, but at 14 (as a girl) you've started to slow down and your feet are nearing the size you will wear into adulthood. Boys at 14 are still in the throes of growth spurts, but girls are slowing down. It might be that your dad is thinking along those lines.

First answer is right, though - keep the receipt and return them if they're too small.

Shoe inserts for heel pain?

My heels begin to hurt really bad when I've been standing/walking for a long time. I walk military style(old habit) meaning I roll my feet, heel to toe. So my heels tak a lot of my weight.

What are some good inserts for my boots? No Dr.Scholl's massaging gel please, I used them already, they were a joke to my feet.
Answer:
This sounds a lot like plantar fasciitis. It can be caused by many things; one of the names I've seen for it has something to do with the ways soldiers march. That is probably how you've received your injury since you say this is the way you walk.

Anyway, ice the area a couple of times a day or after activities like running. Put the ice in some water. You only want to have enough to cover the part that is hurting. Wear shoes with good arch support. You also want a shoe with a rocking heel. That keeps you from putting all your weight on your heels---takes the pressure off. Stretch our your achilles heel as well.

The pads can be bought at stores carrying foot products...they are heel lifts. If you can't find one that works for you, then try seeing a podiatrist.

Hope you start feeling better soon!
make sure/ you /do not /have /heel spurs /see /foot Dr
Well, i really dont know what the answer is. I was gonna recommend dr scholls, but you said it doesnt help, so i really havent got a clue.

maybe you need some insolls, like really thick ones that are cushioned, or have certain parts that have more padding. Its dificult to try and advise you, because i dont know anything that would be good for you.

You can try and go to a shoe shop, and ask them, but to tell you the truth, i dont know.
I have the same problem. Sounds like you have a heel spur. Go to a podiatrist for a cortisone shot and some anti-inflammatory pills. It works like a charm. No more pain.
