i read about some guy having a heart attack while he was working out, sometimes i get chest pains, but i went to the doctor for it but finally found out it was only anxiety related and my blood pressure and cholesterol were normal. im only 20 years old, but the chest pains remind me of the guy and im scared to run on the treadmill. six years ago i used to run an hour at a time but that was before the chest pains. i tried ignoring it, but my stupid brain keeps thinking about the possibility.
Answer:
Just go ahead and work out normally! Dont worry about having heart attack since your doctor doesnt point out any serious health probs you have. Exercising is good for health! =D
I think that guy who you mentioned has more health problems. I dont think the cause of him having heart attack is sorely because of working out.
Make sure that you know where is your body limit. If you can feel that your body cant take it anymore, take a rest. Dont push yourself too hard. Perhaps you can take a short break after every 30mins of jogging.
If you are still worried, you could consult your doctor and get some advice from him of how to exercise in a appropriate way. Or get some pills from him to ease your chest pains (if any) so it will make you feel more secure..?
Good luck! =]
Interesting..im 20 and i have anxiety also...well i doubt you'll have a heart attack like that guy..he probably had more problems...so dont fret about that,i can tell your very paranoid about this subject though. but honestly you shouldn't worry..you'd only get heart attacks if you dont workout and get obese! so think of that...
Or maybe you have gas pain,or are pulling a muscle since you workout hard...
Always listen to your body. If you don't feel like running for too long, then don't. The self-suggestion can cause real damage. So, wait a while until the feeling goes away and then gradually increase the milage.
dont get affraid. u r only 20. if u r a woman, nature protects u till 45y %26 30y for mens.
this is a chat from a heart specialist. think this will helpfull to think positive. your brain is not stupid, prevention is better than cure.
