It sound like you may have sleep apnea. It's a sleeping disorder that can cause you to snore and stop breathing for period of time. It could also cause you to have fatigue, high blood pressure and not being able to focus mentally. You can be easily diagnosed with a sleep study. All they do is attach electrodes to your head, face, and chest and have you sleep there for the night. It's not that bad. It's really worth it to have it done. If you do have sleep apnea a second study will be done. This time they will have a piece of equipment that you will have to sleep in to help you get more oxygen when sleeping. It will be a little mask that will fit over your nose and it has a strap that holds your chin up to keep you mouth closed. This takes some getting use to but it not that bad.
If it goes untreated for a long period of time sleep apnea can cause serious health problems for you like high blood pressure, hearth attack, or stoke. Who knew a good night sleep was so important.
One more thing, just because you don't feel yourself stop breathing doesn't mean it's not happening. I didn't snore that much either but, at my study, the longest period I went with out getting a breath was for 14 seconds and I didn't know until they told me.
How old are you? Is there other reasons you are tired? Are you depressed? If you are sleeping excessively, perhaps you need to see your dr for a follow up to find out the cause if it is interfering with your daily life.
When I am menstruating, I feel like I could sleep all day. Other than that I'm good with 6-8hrs. Maybe track it for awhile - how many hours you sleep, how you feel and then show the results to your dr.
put a tennis ball inside the elastic of your pjs right over your spine on the lower back
that will stop the snoring.
What?, I am sorry I fell asleep. You R tired, not tried. Try those nose strip on the market. Then call your doctor with your concerns.
