Right things to eat when you're sick?

i had an upset stomach %26 diahrrea all night %26 so far today i have eaten one peice of plain toast, a banana, and i had a little bit of salad w/ tunafish, vinigrette dressing, %26 a pear. I also have been drinking diet green tea %26 water. Do you think those are the right things to be eating?
Answer:
If you have an upset stomach and diarrhea, you should follow this diet - B.R.A.T.
B = Bread (or something high in fiber)
R = Rice (or other carbs)
A = Applesauce (for fruit)
T = Toast (the same as bread, but bread is very important)

This diet has been recommended for years by nurses and doctors (and moms) alike. If you follow this, you should be good to go. And of course, drink plenty of water and other clear liquids.

Be careful with salad dressing, you want to stick to plain things. Chicken soup is a classic and I always eat Jello when my stomach is upset, 7Up, crackers, Gatorade is good too.
Just stay clear of foods with spices and eat more plain foods! Hope you feel better.
no, this is too much .you have to pause and have some soup and corn bread for one day then you start eating bigger meals but don't eat tuna together with chicken or beef

The banana might be ok but when I had a stomach probem, since my Grandma was a nurse she said if you have Diahrrea with a stomach problem you should eat something with gelatain in it like jello. Try eating jello because it can hydrate you and you wont retain water and your poo will go back to noramal. After things are nomal eat a light meal.

sometimes that may be too much. It would be better to have maybe some yogurt...that helps with digestion -live cultures. THen try some gatorade at intervals just a couple of sips. It helps because it balances your electrolytes which u are losing through ur sickness.

Another common remedy for diahrrea is to boil rice in lots of water until it is cooked then strain it and drink the water. Dont know why but it soothes the stomach a lot.

i really hope you feel better and the rice should be plain and make sure you drink water and NO fish!!
Well, so far you have eaten great! Try not to eat too much. The salad might not be a good idea though. Here's some awesome foods to eat when you are sick.

7up, some saltine crackers
yes toast and fruit
LOTS of water and milk
dont get up too fast when you need to walk


Just healthy soft not rich foods

lucozade, toast, rice pudding (though in my opinion that would be enough to make me puke but its sposed to be good) and stuff like mints and polos are good. puking is sometimes because of acid in your stomach so alkalis are good eg milk or mint. bread and toast are fibre and kind of soak up whats in your stomach making you less likely to puke. hope this helps
