I've gone one day. ONE DAY!
Some words of encouragement, or anything you made of heard when you gave up.
CHEERS!
Answer:
i am on my second day. its tough mate i know but keep going cos you will only hate yourself if you light up. Find that inner strength and dont be beaten by the dreaded weed
well done. Look at it as just hour by hour, if you can sleep for 6-10 hours without a ***, you can while your awake.... good luck, keep it up. xx Christ, I only said F A G .
try and avoid being near people who smoke. Its tough going, I know, so good luck! I tried plenty of times before and only gave them up when I fell pregnant... but i'm back on them now! My husband smokes so I was constantly lusting after his cigarettes.
well done on giving up when I gave up I put the money in a jar each day that I would use to buy cigarettes and focused on something I wanted and when I had enough money in the jar I bought it. This really helped me maybe it could help you to. Good luck and keep being strong you can do it.
well done!! - iam on day 2 (again) - have patches and gum and they are working really well. did you know that the oxygen in your blood returns to normal levels after one day (so you have more energy and a clearer mind) and that the nicotine is out of your body in 48hrs - now doesnt that make you feel good - if you feel you are weakening, brush your teeth, in the few minutes that it takes to do it the craving will be gone and you will have a nice fresh taste in your mouth - keep at it - you can do it !! - think of all the money you will save
It is the hardest thing to do. When you have a craving, try to keep in mind that it will probably pass quickly, do something to try to distract yourself from the thought of smoking. Get up and walk around, stretch, chew a piece of gum.
I quit almost 3 years ago. You are going to feel so much healthier in a couple months. When you hit the one-month mark, you can reward yourself by buying a new CD or something. Good luck, be strong!
i gave up 5 months ago. just remind yourself why you're stopping. you need to think of it as letting go of a disgusting habit. i know how hard it is, i still get cravings when i've been drinking. all i can say is well done and good luck.x
Keep asking and answering on Yahoo! Has done wonders for me! Keep it up and good luck!
Anyone who has stopped smoking is doing brilliant, I take my hat off to you all.
Take it one day at a time and don't look to far ahead, just tell yourself that you are not going to have a cigarette today. Tell yourself that every day.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WHO HAS JUST STOPPED SMOKING
talk to someone pref a friend who's also quitting. i stopped 4yrs ago after smoking for over 40 yrs!
i read Allan Carr's book how to stop smoking . best thing i ever did. i know that i will never smoke again and yet i do not object to others that do. it's a great feeling which you too can achieve so good luck
Just have the will power and know that your mind is strongre than any drug.
Good job on quitting too, tobacco is a very harmful drug.
Keep it up mate, you can and will do it!
Stick a message on my 360 if you need a chat as talking does help!
the first 2 weeks are the hardest-take it one day at a time-dont tell yourself "ive stopped" just say ok just for today i wont smoke-do this every day-good luck
well done - keep pushing through any weak moments. Remind yourself why you are giving up, visualise your body already beginning to rid itself of the rubbish you have put into it for so long. The first day is the worst, just keep thinking if I get through another day, that wil be two days, and so on. Don't give in!. I stopped nearly six months ago - I tried so many times and I still can't believe that I have done it - I really can't stand the smell of it now!. Good luck. x
