Recovering from food poisoning, still having trouble eating, any suggestions?

i had food poisoning 2 weeks ago..then the following week i felt really sick again due to some monthly female issues. felt sick all over again!! -_-

still can't eat regularly..how long does it usually take to get back to normal? sometimes i'll feel like eating, sometimes i won't or i'll have trouble eating as much as i would usually. this is really frustrating me! i'm running out of ideas of things to eat! please help!

Part of it depends on what kind of food poisoning you had. It may be something that is hard to get rid of. Part of it is while you were sick, you weren't eating normally so your stomach shrunk and your appetite may be affected for a while. Part of it may be that the disease really bothered your stomach lining and intestines and they need time to recover from the trauma. I'd stick to bland foods like soft-boiled or scrambled eggs, non-acid fruits, broths, rice, etc. until you feel like eating something else. Just make sure you get enough fluids and don't worry about the eating part unless it gets really bad, in which case you should go back to the doctor.
Try to eat things that won't upset your stomach and drink lots of fluids.
man! so sorry! i had food poisoning once, however it didn't last that long at all. we kinda just treated like the flu: gatorade, 7up, cambells soup. how sure are you that it's food poisoning? mine only lasted a few days.
Food poisoning causes serious issues in the GI tract. try a liquid diet for a day or two, then go to a soft diet {such as mashed potatoes etc.} for a week. if your bowels seem to get back to normal then advance to heavier foods. Stay away from fried, fast food and so on until you feel like your back to normal. you may want to pick up a 6 pack of Ensure or Boost to hold you over nutrionally until your feeling better. I am not a dr, but I would give this another week and then call his office if your still not feeling yourself or are running a fever. Good luck
Food poisoning is a very harmful thing, as you know. Your body is not used to it, may even not be immune to it, so you are adjusting to it and recovering. It will be about 1 week probably to get back to normal, if even that. Eat light and well, things such as apple sauce, fruit-possibly, drink alot of water. Those would be my suggestions
