how will the 1st july smoking ban affect people who smoke, will you carry on ?

I will continue to smoke,if I ever stop smoking it will be because I want to,not because I am being forced to.However, the smoking ban will help me to cut down drastically which I would be unable to do by myself.
Yeah I will, but not as often. Especially if Im at work cos Im a barmaid and i cant leave the bar unattended to nip for a quick ciggie...pfft!
yes its very hard to give up it is an addiction, we will just have to smoke outside hidding in corners
I will stop smoking, like I dont do any other illegal substances, never drive faster than allowed, never look at porn and like I go to church each sunday..

yes I smoke and intend to quit, thankfully theres lots of support and stuff being offered to help folks quit rather than just booting them out where we might form illegal underground smoking clubs in cellars and abandoned warehouses
i will still smoke. my social circle and family are nearly all non-smokers so i find it ok to not smoke when I'm out with them at a restaurant, pub or whatever and i don't smoke around them. i light up outside and only a few times, so the smoke ban won't bother me that much. on a pub crawl I'll just light up between pubs. no problems.
Can't smoke weed in public usually any way so who gives a ****.

I'm seriously considering giving up (i've been smoking for 16 years). I am 'working on it mentally', slowly... I guess this ban is not a bad thing in the end
Just don't go to the pub unless it has a beergarden and you can take your drink outside.
Or we could have a party round your place ?
I actually stopped smoking about a year before the ban started here in Scotland. I will say though that if I had still been smoking, I'd have chucked it. No way would you get me standing outside a pub in the pouring rain with a Force 9 gale hurling round me. How the hell people enjoy their fags I do not know - their fags are dead after about 5 drags. Although I'm glad I stopped, I wish people who don't smoke would stop treating smokers like lepers. If everyone in Britain stopped smoking tomorrow, what would the Government do without the taxes. Christ, the NHS would fall apart.
it happened in scotland well over a year ago i stay in scotland and im still a smoker
I live in Wales had the smoking ban for a few months now ... I haven't stopped smoking,just stopped going out, same as most of my mates. Go to other peoples houses now instead of pubs . don't know what to do when they ban alcohol though.
yes they will as i live in wales and people here still smoke outside when they go for a drink it dont stop them nor me at all we have been banned since 2nd of april now
